December 2020 Principal’s Message

The final month of 2020 is here, and I hope, probably like many of you, that 2021 brings an end to the pandemic and a return to normalcy. There are many things that I am thankful for today.

2-days at school schedule

SRIS is moving to a 2-days at school schedule. Grade 7 to 11 will have two days in school starting 23rd of November 2020. This will allow for better preparation before the term finals.

Finals exam schedule

To guarantee fair and realistic assessment of our students, SRIS will conduct the term final exams in house. All COVID measures will be followed. Exam schedule is published.

Primary moves to high school building

Primary classes were moved to the high school building, where the heating was working without any issues. For our primary students that posed a great adventure. They were excited about the change. Especially they enjoyed that they are now taught in the rooms of the “large kids”.

Volunteering with Babushka Adoption

A group of SRIS students and teachers volunteered at Babushka Adoption and organized a small collection of funds to buy groceries for 5 babushkas that live nearby Silk Road International School.

SRIS reopens after break

SRIS explores scenarios to bring back all grades after the mid-term break, while upholding all safety protocols. Grade 7 to 11 will have at least one day in school starting 9th of November 2020.
