World Environment Day
On June 5, the whole world community celebrates “World Environment Day”. This holiday has existed for 49 years. Its main task is to draw the attention of humanity to environmental problems. We, as a school community, understand that we are responsible not only for sharing the academic knowledge, but also for the all-round education of a new generation. Our mission is to instil love for our planet. Throughout the year in various lessons such as geography, English, art, chemistry and others, children learned topics related to ecology and respect for nature. These themes have practical implementation. Students of Silk Road school together with teachers regularly conduct raids on garbage collection in different parts of the city, engage in greening of the city. They study the impact of smog and other harmful factors on living organisms, looking for solutions to these problems. The recycling bins on each floor of the school are a prime example of how we see this as a daily life rather than a one time event. Care and attention to the environment is an unspoken rule of Silk Road International School.
