Dear Silk Road family,
My heartiest Congratulation to SRIS community for the Outstanding IGCSE Result!
Our students are celebrating after receiving their long-awaited IGCSE results. Their incredible achievements have created an amazing atmosphere all across our school as we join them in celebrating their success. We have achieved 100% successful scores in all the IGCSE subjects taken by our students. Kudos to the staff and the students!

Preparing for another successful academic year
As we are quickly approaching our return to school and we would like to include here a few key reminders and updates as you and your children prepare for another successful academic year.
The 2021-22 Academic year begins on Monday, August 23rd.
- Primary students (grades 1-5) will have their program begin at 9:30.
- Secondary students (grades 6-11) will come at 13:00 to reduce the number of people congregating at once.
There will be a general assembly followed by the students’ first lesson.
Academic calendar adjustments
We have also decided to make two adjustments to the calendar for the first two weeks of school.
The first two weeks of lessons will be an orientation period for students to acclimate themselves to the classroom, to their teachers, and to each other.
As such, lessons will end at 15:20 every day until Friday, September 3rd.
English as second Language (ESL)
Our ESL program is ready to accommodate any students who need extra help and support to adjust to their English-language lessons and ensure that all students have a chance to succeed.
SRIS continues to strive for excellence academically and as well as socially, and an identifiable students chosen school uniform of excellent quality is part of our school policy.
Throughout the past year we incorporated parent and student suggestions concerning the design of the new school uniform. Many thanks to all who participated in discussing all aspects such as cost, quality and style.
We take great care to ensure that our uniform is practical and meets the needs of both our students and families.
We work closely with a local supplier to maintain the highest quality possible, as well as to ensure and easy ordering process for families.
We are excited to offer our students the uniforms that our parents and students voted on during our Nooruz celebration in March earlier this year.
These uniforms are made from high quality materials and each uniform set contains 9 pieces.
- Uniforms cost $150, $50 of which is paid by the school.
Families which have paid the $100 fee for uniforms and have paid the initial $300 registration fee this year can take their uniforms any time on Thursday, August 19th or Friday, August 20th.
Other students can take their uniforms as soon as the appropriate dues have been paid.
Uniforms will be required for all students from Monday, September 6th.
