SRIS’ Tuition School Fee
Since we are a non-profit organization, SRIS’ school fee is among the lowest of any accredited Cambridge International School in Bishkek, offering a full Cambridge pathway curriculum from Cambridge Primary to Cambridge Advanced at great value.

The annual tuition fee for Silk Road International School, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for the academic year 2022-2023.
By Kyrgyz law all prices have to be advertised in KGS.

Discounts and Additional Fees
Registration Fee: 26 000 KGS (ca. $300)
When registering a student for the first time at our school, we charge a 26 000 KGS registration fee. Payment of that fee will secure your seat. The fee is due at the time of registration.
Achievement Discounts: 30%-50%
The top three students of each grade (2nd to 10th grade) will receive an ‘Academic Achiement Discount’:
- 1st student: 50%
- 2nd student: 40%
- 3rd student: 30%
Sibling discount: 10%
With more then one child attending SRIS a sibbling discount of 10% is granted.
Price Guarantee
To allow you to calculate your total costs over the whole school time of your child, we offer a price guarantee. Your fee will stay the same even if we have to increase our prices for new contracts or change our fee or discount structure.

Other Discounts
With the change in ownership we re-calculated and simplified our fee structure. Our goal is to offer you the lowest list price and fairly offer them to all our families.
Previsous discounts, like the ‘Loyalty Discount’ have been converted into a guarantee of the current school fee for the whole period of your contract. This allows you to calculate your total costs over the whole school time of your child.
These legacy discount are not available anymore for new contracts.

Time of payment
Payments must be made 10 days prior to the start of each quarter. If the outstanding fee is not paid on time, all existing discounts will be void and canceled automatically.
Discounts not combinable and good standing required.
Apart from the payment discount, discounts can not be combined.
The highest available discount will be applied!
Example: If an academic achivement discount is achived, an existing (lower) sibling discounts will be canceled and only the higher academic achivement discount applied.
Good standing: Discounts will only be given to families who paid their tuition on time in the previous and current accademic year and where the student did not receive any disciplinary action.
Uniform Set: 13 000 KGS
Wearing a school uniform is mandatory at Silk Road International School. A full set of uniform clothing is provided at a discounted rate (over the single items).
Cambridge External Exams: $100 (ca. KGS 8.500)
Cambridge external exam fees have to be paid to Cambridge. For the cohort starting IGCSE in 9th grade in the year 2022/2023 up to seven IGCSE exams (1st take) are included in the school fee.
Transport: ca. 30 000 KGS - 40 000 KGS p.a.
School transport is provided by our selected partner ‘Target Logistics‘. Parents sign the contract with the Target representative. The price varies depending on the location of your home and will be calculated and quoted by Target.
The given price range reflects the majority of contracts and is for informational purposes only to give you a ballpark figure. Since we are not contract partner, it does not constitute an offer.

High School Tuition for existing contracts
Providing Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge Advanced Level requires significant additional resources. Which is why we have higher school fees for high school.
For the cohort starting IGCSE in 9th grade in the year 2022/2023 additionally up to seven IGCSE exams (1st take) are included in the school fee. These fees had to be paid directly to Cambridge for previous cohorts.
The fee increase for existing contracts of students progressing from 8th to 9th grade in the academic year 2022/2023 will be:

Why did the price for High School increase?
Effectivly it has not. In the past Cambridge external exam fees had to be paid to Cambridge directly via a SWIFT transfer. This created a lot of banking hassle for families.
Beginning with the cohort, who is starting IGCSE in 9th grade in the year 2022/2023 taking IGCSE exams becomes mandatory and up to seven IGCSE exams are included in the school fee. This covers first time participation, but not re-takes of exams.

Can I pay in USD?
The local currency is the Kyrgyz Som (KGS). By Kyrgyz law all prices have to be advertised in KGS and it is the default currency for private contracts.

School Admission Open
Now admission is open to everyone for the school year 2022/2023. All remaining seats are opened for general admission and are assigned on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Academic Calendar published for 2022/2023
SRIS has published their new academic calendar for the coming school year 2022/2023. School will start on 24th of August 2022 and finish on 09th of June 2023.

Kindergarten Fee
Under the name “Silk Road Kids” we provide a kindergarten facility with limited capacity. Priority goes to families with siblings attending SRIS school.
