Every Friday: Open Admission Day

Walk-In Interview and Admission Exams

Every Friday we welcome you from 09:00 to 13:00 without previous registration. Please visit out school to get a first hand impression and talk to our director or coordinators. You child can also take the admission exams on that day.

Only 5-8 seats free

Our registrations are filling up quickly. In most grades we have only five to eight seats left per grade level. Act soon to secure your child’s seat at our school.

School Admission Procedure

Each student and their families are interviewed. This way we get an understanding of your family’s situation and your child’s education needs.

Some students also will have to take the SRIS school admission exams. We will evaluate their level of English and their Mathematics skills. These results are mainly used to plan and provide the optimal support for students joining the Cambridge System.

For students joining from Kyrgyz or Russian language schools, SRIS provides dedicated English Intensive Integration Classes.

Our Academic Intervention Program, assists students to catch up in Math and Science.

Cambridge School Students exempt

Students transferring from another Cambridge International School, with good Cambridge transcripts, are exempt from the admission tests. Only the interview will be conducted.

School Presentation and Campus visit

A representative of our school will show you around the campus and give an your overview of what SRIS provides. This way parents can inspect our Campus and get an in depth impression of our school.

The coordinators of Primary School, Middle School, our Cambridge IGCSE program and High School are available for in depth discussion of your Child’s education needs and our program.

School Admission for Existing Contracts

Existing contracts were ensured continuance, if prolonged by the 15th of April 2022. Now admissions are open to everyone and your child’s seat may be assigned to an external applicant any time. Since 16th of April 2022, all remaining seats are opened for general admission and are assigned on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

If you are a SRIS parent and still have not signed the contract for the next year, your are highly recommended to prolong your contract and pay the 45.000 KGS deposit as soon as possible.

About Silk Road International School

Silk Road International School, also known as SRIS, was established in 1999 and is in independent Kyrgyz ownership since June 2020 with a new international leadership team since the school year 2020/2021.

SRIS is a small school offering individual support to its selected students. Our homey campus, securely located in the 11th micro-rayon, offers all the facilities needed to provide quality education and familial atmosphere.

Since the SRIS school’s teaching language is English, the students develop proficiency in English in a short period of time.
